I understand well that performing hajj is one of obligatory to every muslims who has the wealth to do so. At the other hand, i am thinking about how Arab is indirectly attacking our brothers and sisters by funding ‘those’ countries who are fighting muslims. Although the money from hajj is not participating dominantly to this country’s money, but it still takes a role. I cant justify the idea of stopping hajj to weaken this country’s power to fund those countries. But also, wont the guilt even a little be there, after knowing what this country does to our brothers sisters? Wont the idea of ‘we do what we should do, what they do with the money is between them and Allah’ make us sound ignorant? i understand that (lets say) my-not-performing will not affect anything and we dont have any power to control this as well, but is it a right or wrong thing to feel guilty personally?

I definitely dont know which one is right or what should i think towards this matter. I would like to hear out you guys perspectives about this and kindly correct me if im wrong at some points of my thinking or idea of where the country’s money from hajj is going. Jazakallahu khayran.

The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said,

“Allah said: ‘Verily, from amongst My slaves is he whose faith cannot be rectified except by being inflicted with poverty, and were I to enrich him, it would surely corrupt him. Verily, from amongst My slaves is he whose faith cannot be rectified except by wealth and affluence, and were I to deprive him, it would surely corrupt him. Verily, from amongst My slaves is he whose faith cannot be rectified except by good health, and were I to make him sick, it would surely corrupt him. Verily, from amongst My slaves is he whose faith cannot be rectified except by disease and illness, and were I to make him healthy, it would surely corrupt him. Verily, from amongst My slaves is he who seeks worship by a certain act but I prevent that from him so that self-amazement does not enter his heart. Certainly, I run the affairs of My slaves by My Knowledge of what is in their hearts. Certainly, I am the All-Knower, All-Aware.’”

Both inscriptions lack dots on letters so date before Hajjaj bin Yusuf - and quite possibly to the time of the first four khalifas.

The first seems a bit political? Perhaps written by a follower of Ali (may Allah be pleased with him).

The second is a prayer for 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him).

374. Jannah becomes obligatory for the one who Recites the following

Abu Sa’id (Ra) said that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, “Whoever says:

Radeetu billahi rabban, Wa bil-Islaami deenan,Wa bi-Muhammadin rasoolan

Jannah becomes obligatory for him (to enter). [Abu-Dawud]

Note: Best said in Morning and Evening with "Nabiyanwa rasoolan"

Best translation I could find was: Radhitu billahi Rabba (I’ve accepted Allah as my Lord) Wa bil Islami deena (And Islam as my way of life) Wa bimuhammadin salla Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam (And Muhammad may Allah’s peace & blessings be upon him) Nabiyyan wa Rasoola (As Prophet and Messenger of Allah)

This is going to be a bit silly but I'm a bit paranoid,I apologize in advance. I'm not entirely sure about this but when I was 16 and still in highschool,I seem to remember glancing over some pages of our Islamic Text book. I remember reading something along the lines of making a deal over someone else's deal (which I'm assuming is in financial business context) is haram. Now again,I didn't read into it,nor did I pay too much attention to it for some reason.

So,does anyone know if my imagination is just making things up or if this is actually true in some ways? I don't know how to phrase this question but 2 weeks ago,I was on the market trying to find some used computer parts,my friend found a GREAT deal but he mentioned that the seller was already in contact with a potential customer.(I'm unsure if a set deal was made or if the customer asked to book the item in advance/ask him to not sell it until the customer makes up their mind to actually commit to buying it). 2 days later,he messaged me early in the morning saying he *bought* the item (apparently the seller was a friend of a friend and he somehow convinced the seller to sell it to him.Of course no bribery was involved,he paid exactly what the seller intended in the first place). He and I are unsure of what went down between the customer and the seller but the computer part is now in my PC (it was already purchased and I didn't know how to say no to my friend because he went through the trouble of buying it for me. I didn't want to make it more complicated so I just zipped my mouth and bought it from him). So my question here is, was what he did haram, and should I return this computer part. I apologize for the silly question, but my anxiety has been flaring up because I dont know if I did the right thing or not. P.S English is not my first language, forgive me if I caused any confusion

If a person does a lot of wrong in their life and then repents on their deathbed, will they be forgiven and not be sent to Hell? If a Muslim does a lot of good in their life and then does a really big bad thing before their death or abandons Islam in the last few moments, would they be sent to Hell?

What about disbelievers? If an atheist or non Muslim who knows about Islam (like most people) is an extremely good person, what would come of them? Would it mean that everyone that has been exposed to Islam but hasn't become a Muslim will go to Hell, AKA most humans ever?

If someone is a Muslim who says Salat and all but is a horrible person, would they go to heaven for being a Muslim or hell for being a bad person?

For homosexual Muslims, if they have faith in Allah and truly believe in Allah's mercy and still has not abandoned Him after constantly being told to and being told that God hates them, would they go to Hell? For transgender Muslims, if they also believe in Allah's mercy and follow all other parts of Islam, but transition into the other gender to get rid of emotional distress, what could come of them too? (if they ask for forgiveness and repent)

I know that only Allah can decide who truly goes to heaven or hell. But I'm just asking, how merciful is He? How far does his mercy extend and how reserved is it, and to whom is He merciful and to whom is He not? How bad do you have to be to get into Hell, can one sin decide your fate?

People remember most, the times you treated them well, or followed a Sunnah of Islam which recommends that we go above and beyond in how we treat others. People who aren't Muslim really feel like they've missed out on something great in their own communities when a Muslim brings good manners and character to them. I guess as an advice to myself first, if you wanna give Da'wah, then focusing on following the Sunnah and having the best manners in your interactions with both Muslims and non Muslims.

On the flip side, bad manners can even push Muslims away from Islam. So beware of that, if you must contend a contention, then do so with good manners (I myself am guilty of not using good manners so this is an advice to myself first again). But this is one of the biggest reasons people leave Islam. If you just write or speak a response that contends someone else, then think about your wording and how you would feel if someone came to you with the same wording you're about to use.

Any muslim especially from middle east or PakAfg region who supports the west against China is just chopping their own feet in the long run . You don’t know what you are getting into . Its much much much more important to have a counter balance to the west . When the soviet union collapsed what happened ?

The west invaded muslim nations in name of Democracy, rights and terrorism and left many nations in a perpetual state of civil war . To this day middle east has not recovered from the disastrous US war on terror . You want something like that to happen again ? China has no revolution to export no ideology to implement. They didn’t invade us or destroyed our stability in name of war on terror.

The west needs an enemy . First it was USSR than came Islam now its China . The longer their focus is on China the lesser their focus is on Middle east and Islam . But make no mistake . The day China collapses they will come back again for us . Maybe after some small terror attack which of course I don’t support. They will start another ear on terror. More instability more wars more “democracy” imposed on us . Iraq , Libya , Syria , Afghanistan all are in perpetual states of civil wars because of the west . Pakistan lost 100000 lives and a hundred billion in economy in the war on terror .

We must not get on the China bashing train . The west wants to use us against China just how they used us against USSR . And then ten years later they will call the same groups terrorists, which they were supporting against China . The west already said the ETIM , the east turkestan islamic movement ( the taliban of central asia ) is not a terrorist group . Why ? Because they plan to use them against China .

Its in our best interests that there is at least a counter balance to the west so we aren’t totally exposed later . They are coming for Islam after China . Just like they did after USSR .

Assalamu Alaikum,

We are living in unprecedented times. It is easy to get lost in your thoughts when the future is clouded and anything can happen at a moment’s notice. However, we must also think about people that are suffering more than us. Prophet Muhammad صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said, very few ”Look to those who have less than you, and do not look to those who have more. This is more appropriate so that you do not overlook (or undervalue) the blessings of Allah that you have.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim).

Prophet Muhammad صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said, “Protect yourself from hell-fire even by giving a piece of date as charity.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim) Is it really wise to risk hellfire for eternity? You might say that donating a date is nothing and results in something minimal in the Hereafter but the Quran states, “The example of those who spend their wealth in the cause of Allah is that of a grain that sprouts into seven ears, each bearing one hundred grains. And Allah multiplies ˹the reward even more˺ to whoever He wills. For Allah is All-Bountiful, All-Knowing.'' in Surah Al-Baqarah Ayat 261. Charity even negates sins as Prophet Muhammad صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said, “Charity extinguishes the sins like water extinguishes a fire.” (Ibn Majah) Now what can you be afraid of when donating? Are you afraid of losing wealth? Even the price of a cup of coffee can feed a person. This will not detract from your wealth as Prophet Muhammad صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said, ““Giving in charity doesn’t decrease your wealth in the slightest, and the person who pardons is not increase except in honor and there is no person who is humble for the sake of Allah, except that Allah will raise his rank.” (Muslim) Remember that Prophet Muhammad صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said, “None of you [truly] believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.” (Bukhari and Muslim). If you desire prosperity and comfort, why don’t you help your brothers and sisters through Adam عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ achieve that as well? Assalamu Alaikum and remember it is never too early to invest in the Hereafter.

I found out a couple of months ago how bad of a father and a husband my dad is. Since childhood he's played the innocent victim and who ended up with a horrible wife. I spent so many years defending him and almost cutting ties with my mother because of how badly she treated him. They've been divorced for over a year now and I can't believe how blind I've been. I can't believe how I was used and manipulated for years by the man who was supposed to be....I don't even know what he's supposed to be because I don't know what a good father is anymore. He's been using me to make himself look good. He's a passive father, has always burdened my mother with responsibilities because he didn't want to do anything. At one point he decided out of nowhere to "retire" 20 years early and burdened my mother with financing the house too. He got angry when she got home from work too tired to cook or clean. He called her lazy when she would sleep all day even though he knew how tired she was. After their divorce I found out that she attempted to take her own life because of how bad her mental state was.

After 27 years I realised how toxic my father actually is. We were practically conditioned to treat her badly and think she's a bad mother when all she's done was try and vent about how she's actually the victim in all of this. No parent should ever discuss marital problems with their kids. She's not right for talking like this to her kids about their father but the woman was helpless. My father is no man and I can't bring myself to even look at him anymore. What do I do? I know I can't cut ties because then I'd be disobeying Allah. But I honestly can't bring myself to talk to him. I come up with any excuse not to see him or talk to him because I can't.

This post is a mess and I'm sorry. He's been here visiting all day and I can't bring myself to go downstairs and talk to him.

So the latest book i'm reading is Apostate and it has a foreword by Sh. Abdul Hakim Murad and he quotes a hadith which I think I tend to forget far too often and wanted to share.

"Those who show mercy shall receive mercy from the One Who is Merciful. Be merciful to those who dwell on earth, and He Who is in heaven shall be merciful towards you"

Borealis (5.5)

Becca Borealis (5.5) Light Shifter Dewing TintBecca Borealis (5.5) Light Shifter Dewing Tint ($30.00 for 1 oz.) is a medium-dark brown with warm undertones and a dewy, luminous finish. It had a noticeable tint and some pearl but it didn’t appear overtly shimmery when applied to the skin, so it ended up giving a more dewy sheen than pearly one.

It had sheer color coverage when applied all over the face with more semi-sheer, buildable coverage when applied to my cheeks (as a bronzer but on those of a medium-deep or deeper complexion, it would work as a highlighter). It had a lightweight consistency that felt like a gel-cream, which ensured it spread readily over my skin. I had no trouble applying it as a cheek product, all-over as a tinted moisturizer, or mixed in/worn under foundation. This shade lasted well for nine hours as a tinted moisturizer and eight and a half hours as a standalone highlighter.

FURTHER READING: Formula Overview for details on general performance and characteristics (like scent).

Formula Overview

$30.00/1 oz. - $30.00 Per Ounce

It's described as a 'sheer tinted moisturizer" so that the shades are "flexible" while giving an "ultra-dewy finish." When I saw the promotional video and read through the ingredient list, it was very much called to mind other tinted luminizing products, which are often more billed as luminizers than tinted moisturizers. I initially purchased the three shades that would be closer to my skin tone, in case it really was more tinted moisturizer than luminizer, but I'd definitely say these are tinted luminizers.

The brand states that it can be applied to the "high points" for "targeted radiance" or "all over the face for maximum dewiness." To wear it all-over would give a very high-shine, luminous finish that likely would be "too much" for some (though certainly perfect for some). I think it compared favorably against other luminizers that are designed to be applied as a highlighter, mixed in with moisturizer/foundation, or used all-over, like Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter (which has a thinner consistency and higher amount of pearl) or AURIC Glow Lust (which has a thicker consistency, more of a sheen than as dewy).

The consistency was like a lightweight gel-cream--not too runny but not too thick or too heavy, so it spread readily across the face for all-over coverage but could be patted on the high points of foundation (over bare skin or on top of foundation) without being prone to lifting it up.

The coverage was sheer to semi-sheer when I tried applying it all over my face, as it did spread quite well, and I was able to get more semi-sheer, buildable coverage when I patted it over the high points of my face with a fingertip. It was sheer when mixed in with base products, as anticipated. It is most flexible when using it mixed in with something, though, and you'll want to align more closely with undertone than strictly depth for all-over usage.

It wore for eight to nine hours before starting to look more worn and faded when used alone or as a standalone highlighter (on top of cheekbones, bare skin).
