347. Sending Darud and Peace on the blessed Prophet (Peace be upon him)
The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) as saying that "One sent by my Sustainer came to me and told me that 'Whoever from your Ummah sends Darud on you once ten good deeds are recorded on his behalf, his ten (minor) sins are pardoned and he is elevated by ten stages" [SunanNisai and Musnad Ahmed, AI-targhib li al Mundhari, P.157 volume 3]
And Anas (Ra) a companion, has said that the Prophet (Sallallahu AlaihiWasallam) said that "When my name is mentioned before anyone it is incumbent upon him to, send darud on me, and whosoever sends darud once, Allah sends His Mercy on him ten times.
The best Darud is that which we read towards the end of our Salah and the shortest is to say "Salallahu AlaihiWasallim"
Ramadan is quickly approaching and I would like to eat the bulk of my calories at suhoor. I find I sleep better on an empty stomach I would break fast in the evening with water and a date and call it a day.
Problem is, I’m never hungry upon waking. Does anyone here wake up extra early to build hunger?
i very recently converted to Islam and all was going very well until i saw somebody saying i cant have dogs. they said it is prohibited to own a dog, but i love dogs and they help me stay positive and help me feel protected. can i own dogs and be Muslim?
Narrated Abdullah bin Umar: Allah's Apostle said, "A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim so he should not oppress him, nor should he hand him over to an oppressor. Whoever fulfilled the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfill his needs whoever brought his (Muslim) brother out of a discomfort Allah will bring him out of the discomforts of the Day of Resurrection and whoever screened a Muslim Allah will screen him on the Day of Resurrection. " Bukhari
I watched a video on Youtube where a Sheikh by the name of Sheikh Adel displays examples of Black Magic/Sihr talismans, objects, etc. I believe I have one in my house, I’m not certain, but I do want to dispose of it. How do I go about doing it? Should I throw it out somewhere outside of my apartment building? Burn it? I am not sure what is the right way to handle this.
346. Being kind to Parents is the best deed after Salat
It is narrated on the authority of Abdullah bin Mas'ud (Ra), who observed: "I asked Allah's Messenger (May peace be upon him) which deed was the best." He (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) replied: 'The Prayer at its appointed hour.' I (again) asked: "Then what?" He (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) replied: 'Kindness to the parents… [Sahih Muslim: 120]
Eyeshadow shader style brushes–they’re small, slightly stubby, densely packed and a little rounded at the edge. I’ve worked my way through an assortment of them over the years, but I still find that I can do all of my eye makeup with that one tool if I need to!
(Pre-pandemic) Regular Jamaats used to go, 3 days, 40 days etc. Gasht taking place and gatherings at markaz. I used to be part of that crowd, but now I detest those people. They do nothing in the community. I've not seen a single one of them do any charitable work. They judge. When jamaats go out its mostly to have a good time with your mates. Outside of the Masjid they don't engage with anyone. It's as if tabligh jamaat is a vocation and a way to be condescending to the others. Some of them have the most vile character and are not respected at all. There are virtues of tabligh jamaat but it should not be that it's the only thing that defines you. Our Prophet (s.a.w) did so much for the people around him, regardless of faith. He came to perfect our character, not so we can have a jolly at another mosque for three days with your mates and stuff yourself silly with takeaways. And in these times of lockdown they go from one Masjid to another breaking the law and risk spreading disease. Allah forgive me but that's how I feel.
I did not do what I was suppose to do tonight, and I was not the best Muslim tonight.
After getting back to my car, I think the only thing that possibly saved me was saying bismillah hirahman nirahim because as soon as I left, 1 minute from the parking lot to the light at a streets intersection (keep in mind this is at 1AM,) waiting at a red light, this giant ford f350 who is guaranteed to be drunk or possibly on cocaine, comes turning and he was inches from crashing into me. He was turning very, very fast. So fast that I'm surprised his truck didn't flip over.
Please my brothers and sisters, do not forget your adkhar, do not forget ayatul kursi, do not forget the last 3 surahs. Please make dua for me, your brothers and sisters on reddit and elsewhere. Remember if we are on here we are most likely in the top .01% of privileged people in this world, there are brothers and sisters in Africa being tortured to death brutally, and also non Muslims as well so we can make dua for all oppressed people, because Allah answers the dua of the oppressed even if they're non Muslim.
I understand when we read these things it really doesn't have an effect on us or resonate with us to the degree of the person writing it, but I feel beyond blessed in every single way possible but beyond ungrateful. Again please make dua for me and I will be making dua for all of you, barak Allahu feek
i know your not going to see this as “amazing” and i know your going to think its just a coincidence, but i see it as a sign from Allah. so for about a month now, i have wanted to convert to Islam but i was having a really hard time leaving Buddhism and believing in a whole new thing and practicing a whole new way of life. but today, i think Allah has given me a sign that i need to convert to Islam. i have been practicing Islamic things (mainly phrases) for a few days and today my sister was driving and i was in the car with her. she is 15 and just learning how to drive so there is a high chance she would wreck, and it was also at night. i kept chanting “inshallah, inshallah, inshallah” and thinking of Allah. when she got to her friends house and then my mom started driving, my mom said she kept drifting off into the other lane and if se would’ve drifted too far, we would have wrecked. Later that day, my VERY stubborn dog was outside so i was going to bring him in and he will always just stand on the deck and never come in when i tell him to but i just said “inshallah” in hopes of me not having to stand in the snow until he comes in, and he came in right away. Later that night i was outside thinking about Islam (i can only think really good outside) and i was thinking about fully converting and then i said “i really want to visit Mecca every year” and i kid you not, that second, a huge roar of thunder came out of no where, and this was a clear night besides the snow! there was no thunder before or after. and after those 3 things happened, i feel like Allah is telling me that i need to convert. so bismillah, i will
Ok so little background, I'm a berber from algeria, and there are a group of people called kabylists who are very anti-islam and pro atheism or pro christianity (depending on the individual, either way they're anti-islam). One thing they always say is : "before arabs arrived, the berbers were true christians" which in a way is true, we were mostly Christians (at least those who lived to the north of the sahara), but if we were "true pious christians" as they claim, then why did our ancestors accept Islam soo quickly (because if I recall correctly, the maghreb, alongside Iraq, was one of the regions that converted to Islam almost instantly), so why did the berbers convert to Islam almost immediately?
So first off I'd like to ask that only muslim women answer this question, since it is one that concerns them.
I'm non-binary, born female, and I have a muslim friend who I'm not out to yet. I know she'll be accepting when I come out. However, I am on her private snap story and she often doesn't wear her hijab while posting there. I do assume that only women are on her private story. I know that when I tell her that I'm non-binary there might be a chance that she takes me off her private story and I'm okay with that, however, my question is: is it wrong of me to not come out yet and still be on her story? I'm not exactly ready to come out yet, but I also don't want to be on her private story if it's disrespectful. I also know that if I ask her to take me off her private story she'll want to know why, and I don't wanna lie. Any advice? What's your opinion on having non-binary people see your hair?
Salaam everyone. I just need to talk to someone about this. Last night I had this dream. In my dream I was at home and it was night time. I was telling my family and friends that I was dying. I was trying to let everyone close to me know that I was dying. Then I looked up and the the clouds parted and a light shone from the heavens indicating to me that it was time for me to go. I was begging Allah (swt) to not take me yet and to give me more time. Then I woke up.
This dream has been disturbing me all day. Does anyone know what this could mean in Islam? Ideally direct me to legit sources etc. I’m now afraid of dying and I now feel as though I need to strengthen my imaan. 🤲🏽 thank you.
Happy Saturday! I always enjoy seeing what makes up the week’s top ten highest-reviewed products, so I hope you find it somewhat interesting as well! 🙂
عن عائشه -رضي الله عنها-قالت: "ما خير رسول الله- صلي الله عليه وسلم- بين امرين قط,الا اختار ايسرها الا ان يكون فيه اثم,فان كان اثما كان ابعد الناس منه" (البخاري و مسلم) A'ishah related:' Whenever the prophet was given a choice (between two things) he chose whatever was easier -unless it was sinful, in which case he was more careful than anyone to avoid it'. Chanel Rouge Audacieux (267) Rouge Allure Velvet ($38.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a muted, deep red with neutral-to-warm undertones and a satiny sheen. It seemed to have barely-there pearl that gave it a slightly more luminous finish but did not appear overtly shimmery.
The texture was lightweight, thin but not clingy, and smooth, so the lipstick glided comfortably across my lips but didn’t feel too slippery while worn. It stayed on nicely for five hours and felt lightly hydrating over time.

The Rouge Allure Velvet formula is supposed to be a "non-drying matte lipstick" with "intensely rich, long-wearing colour" and has a "velvet matte finish." Over time, I felt like the formula has improved and is actually non-drying (the original launch did not wear well on me) to lightly drying (seen more in shades that have lasted six to eight hours). The pigmentation varies from shade to shade but is usually semi-opaque to opaque with a semi-matte to satin finish. The texture had a velvety, glide-on feel that doesn't feel particularly creamy or wet, yet the lipstick is comfortable to wear over the four to six hours it typically lasts for. Like most Chanel lip products, they have a rosy scent but no discernible taste.

Chanel Rouge Fauve (277) Rouge Allure Velvet ($38.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a slightly muted, medium reddish-copper with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had rich color coverage that applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without tugging.
The texture felt lightweight, more velvety but not too thick or too dense–much lighter-weight than most “velvety” textures–that sat well on my lips. It wore well for five hours and felt lightly moisturizing over time.
