Al Salam Alaikum everyone. Over the past year and a half I've successfully stopped watching all types of visual pornography like video porn and NSFW pictures and have been averting my gaze to the point where I place my hand over a video if there is any cleavage or anything like that so I do not look at it. Same thing for tight clothing on videos online and things like that. Either I cover up the awra's of the women with my hand or I just exit the video.
However, now I am facing a problem with whether it's OK to consume other types of stimulating material - to be specific, erotic audio recordings and erotic stories. I (very occasionally) listen to these audios or read these erotic texts since I have completely cut off visual pornography.
My question is: Are these things haram? Same thing for pornographic (drawn) cartoons. Are they haram, since they aren't real people? I know animated porn is haram, since that's basically just like porn - no difference there. But are erotic audios and erotic stories and porn cartoons haram as well?
Please be as detailed as possible in your answers, and please do share what your journey has been in getting rid of porn in general, as I feel that would be greatly beneficial.
