I recently bought a motorcycle. And am unaware how much zakkat is to be offered for it. Will any given amount be okay, as long as it is given in good will or is there a percentage like 0.5% or something of the price of the motorcycle?
Also is there any predefined notion whom to give zakkat? Someone told me a student in University was struggling with money. I was thinking of giving it to him. Or should I give to some other poor?
