March 2023

My name is Yaqub Muhammad (My preivous name was Jacob hense the name). I said my shahddah several months ago. Due to interal struggle (people saying it was my mental health, they say it is my part of my personality disorder), friends threatening to disown me and family saying I was betraying my previous faith (Jewish), I lost my way. However, for several months I have had dream after dream about Islam. Last night I had a dream about buying Hadith Collection from a islamic store. I then had a dream about having a daughter (I am not married or have children), she was at quaran class and I gave her a purple hijab and copy of quran). I think Allah (SWT) has been trying to speak to me (Does He do this?). Anyway, I asked Allah to forgive me for my backward ways, I made Wudu and prayed Salat Al-Isha. I am just trying to make sense of this and thought I might post something on Reddit.

Excerpt from Farhat Hashmi’s speeches and my notes.

“”Woe to those who give less [than due]” (83:1)

Who are the ones that are cursed and ruined?

“Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full.” (83:2)

They are those when they are in a position to take, they leave nothing for the other, incredibly greedy. When they are not given, they quickly abandon.

“and when they measure or weigh something to give it to them, give less than due.” (83:3)

They are incredibly stingy when it comes to giving. These verses provide an archetype of greedy and miser individual. When it comes to giving, person won’t open their closed fist. When it comes to taking, they don’t leave even a small part.

What you should be giving you don’t give? This is not just for weighing and measuring but also in dealings of every nature. That in any situation, you are not fulfilling your responsibility but holds on to expectation the other should complete their full responsibility. The other is obligated but not yourself. Conflicts arise due to this.

Its true that everyone should fulfill their responsibility. But what is being mentioned here? That to be reckless when it comes to one’s own responsibilities and have expectation that the other should fulfill their responsibility in perfect manner. Note someone does it intentionally and someone inadvertently forgot. Nevertheless in either case the other’s right is not fulfilled.

In normal dealings with people, not respecting someone and expecting that other should respect me. How common is this? Yourself not greeting the person but hold onto expectation that the other should greet me. Yourself not fulfill promises but if someone does that to you, you consider it a grave mistake.”

Looking for spouse, one has superficial requirements but expects genuineness from other. One barely listens but expects other to be good listener. One is miser but expects other to be generous (not just money). One doesn’t have empathy but expects other to have empathy. One doesn’t forgive but expects other to forgive. And such.

“A husband is not fulfilling his responsibility, he is not providing but his expectation is that his wife should fulfill her responsibility, she be obedient, she should not refuse in anything.”

A wife is not obedient and protective of property, honor of her husband but has expectations from her husband.

“These are ‘lil mutaffiffina’ those who give less, they are the ones that are cursed and ruined.”

Sydney Grace Awkward Silence Cream Shadow (2020)

Awkward Silence

Sydney Grace Awkward Silence Cream Shadow (2020) ($8.00 for 0.34 oz.) has a bluish-gray base with a mix of larger flecks of gold sparkle, finer gold and pinkish pearl. Sometimes the base looked almost purplish, but then when the light caught the sparkles, it looked warmer, more like a bronzy-taupe. It’s a very unique shade!

  • Mostly opaque, buildable coverage
  • Lightly creamy, spreadable, smooth without being too emollient
  • Has a learning curve, best applied in thinner layers and built up
  • Long-wearing (9 hours)

FURTHER READING: Formula Overview for details on general performance and characteristics (like scent).

Formula Overview

$8.00/0.34 oz. - $23.53 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to "dry down to a smudge proof finish" that isn't waterproof but "will last all day on the lids." The brand recommends working "one eye at a time" as the formula "dr[ies] fairly quickly." It's an incredibly pigmented formula in most instances, where a little dab is more than enough to cover the mobile lid. I always find squeezing out product onto the back of my hand or onto a metal palette is the best way to get going with these.

It was recently formulated to extend the shelf life, which went from six months to 12 months, but there were changes to the base formula, which I found shortened the wear time for me overall--by an hour or two. Previously, they wore between eight and 10 hours on me with most shades on the longer end of that range.

With the updated formula, the wear was more eight to nine hours with a tendency to crease over fade, so if I applied it to the inner tearduct or the brow bone, the wear was more like nine hours or even ten hours, but if I wore the same shade in my crease, it would have creasing by eight hours. Otherwise, the formula tended to apply, blend, and work like the original formula--I just noticed that the wear time was a little reduced.

The texture was smooth, like a liquid-cream hybrid as it wasn't runny but it was more spreadable than a cream eyeshadow you'd find in a jar. The majority of shades applied evenly to bare skin with little effort, and the edges remained blendable enough (even as it was mostly dried down) to soften and fuse with other shades. They're very lightweight and the majority of them sat well on my lids without emphasizing lines or texture (sometimes an issue with liquid/cream, more metallic products).

It didn't have that dry down that felt so set and locked in that if you kept trying to blend it out (after it was dry) you'd get flaking; these never flaked or lifted. Based on past experiences--in general with cream eyeshadows--I recommend working with your powder eyeshadows first (unless you're using it as a base), and then going in with the cream eyeshadows and going back over any areas to further blend if necessary. That being said, I was able to layer powder eyeshadow over them without them lifting or becoming patchy. They're some of the easiest cream eyeshadows I've worked with to incorporate into multi-shade looks. The wear varied from eight to ten hours on me before there was slight fading or a bit of creasing.

If you're someone who tends to use their cream eyeshadows as sheer washes of color, I think this formula is "too" pigmented and dries too quickly to make sheer application as effortless as you'd want. If you love the effect of and finish of creamier, metallic eyeshadows and want true, full coverage application, these are worth looking into. I recommend squeezing out the smallest amount of product on the back of your hand or onto a mixing palette, and then using fingertips or a flat, synthetic brush to apply to the lid. I prefer a brush as it gives more working time than when I used my fingertips.

Tom Ford Beauty Electric Cherry Eye Color Quad

Electric Cherry

Tom Ford Beauty Electric Cherry Eye Color Quad ($90.00 for 0.35 oz.) features the brand’s gel-powder formula, which can work wet or dry, and often is a more reliable, higher-performing formula from the brand (compared to their regular eyeshadow formula, which can be more of a hit or miss). All four shades were pigmented, smooth, blendable, and long-wearing, though as a color story, they kind of ran together so it would be a better quad used as one or two shades at a time or as a complementary palette with other palettes you own.

So according to my understanding you can't have any form of solo meetings with the woman you love unless you're already fully married

1-So what if I don't want to keep the marriage because her personality doesn't align with mine and as we all know you can't truly know someone by having "dates" while there's a family member of her spying on the conversation?

2-i have trust issues, what if I don't want to "do it" with my wife because I don't trust her yet and it might take days/weeks/months/years in order to feel comfortable letting her get to a very personal level

3-what if I decided to divorce my wife but I didn't go to bed with her she married me a virgin and divorcing me a virgin, does it change what I'm responsible for doing if a divorce ever happens ?

As you could imagine I have a very hard time trusting people especially women due to the face I only interacted with family members so I know nothing about strangers, I'm scared I'm scared of ruining some innocent woman's life because I'm too scared to make a commitment

Formula Overview

$12.00/0.21 oz. - $57.14 Per Ounce

The powder highlighter is supposed to have a "high-shine" finish with "high colour intensity." In general, ColourPop's pressed highlighter powders have a smooth, moderately dense texture that was soft enough to be picked up easily by a brush but not kick up any powder in the pan. The formula was semi-opaque to opaque but easily sheered out for less shine and coverage if desired. There were a few shades within the range that emphasized my skin's natural texture slightly but most did not. The wear ranged from seven and a half hours to nine hours.
