For context, in the additional information section about roommates (my program pairs people together), I added that if possible, I'd prefer a female-identifying heterosexual roommate for religious reasons.
I got a call today saying that they cannot guarantee sexual preferences of my roommate and that I need to be respectful.
If I end up getting a different identifying roommate, how should I act? Can I take off hijab? Can I even be alone with them or sleep in the same room? (I obviously will be respectful/become friends with them and not judge, but I just don't know if I can share such an intimate space)
