This is a very weird post, so forgive me. I am writing a novel, and the protagonist is a Muslim woman. The issue is that I am not a Muslim women. I am an atheist who comes from a Christian background. If I want to continue writing this novel, what should I do? Should I read books about Islam? If so, what books? Should I interview Muslims? If so, where should I look for people to interview? Should I read the Quran and the Hadiths? If so, which translations (I don't know Arabic unfortunately). Thank you in advance for reading my post.
