HQ trivia

Assalamu Alaikum brothers/sisters,

There is this app called HQ trivia in which if you answer 15 questions correctly you earn a set amount of money or split it with those who also answer correctly. Since you put no money in and you are guaranteed at least some money in the end, would this be haram? I'm guessing no, but my friend said it would be.
