Islam honored women by granting them inheritance, ownership, financial independence, and the right to choose their husband, while protecting their dignity and rights. Thus, Islam honored women through established rights and prophetic guidance to treat them with kindness and respect.
The Prophet ﷺ also commanded kindness toward women, saying: “acts kindly towards women ,” and “ . “The best of you is the one who is best to his wife, and I am the best of you to my wives” . He also emphasized that honoring one’s mother is among the greatest acts of righteousness.
