We obviously don't need to tell a potential spouse about every minor thing we don't like about our body, but what about major flaws? Are we required to tell someone before marriage about things such as large scars, birthmarks, excess body hair, etc? What about piercings and tattoos (haram, but some Muslims have them)?
Not telling them could mean they are disappointed with what they see after marriage... which would not be the best start to married life.
We are not supposed to deceive people into marriage, but are we REQUIRED to inform a would-be husband/wife about flaws in our awrah, even though this may put them off wanting to get married?
