Alan Watts is an example of a speaker who did a remarkable job of taking eastern philosophies and distilling them into a format that western audiences could grasp, while remaining true to the source material. Is there anyone in the Islamic world who does something similar? Specifically I'd like to hear from Islamic 'thinkers' (as opposed to activists or evangelists), but anyone whose content you think 'hits the nail on the head' I'll gladly check out.
