There was a post earlier about how all non Muslims, including people of the Book, go to jahanam. I was taught differently growing up in Islamic Studies class, but to be fair that was a long time ago. This doesn't really make sense to me though? They say this because of 98:6 --
Surely those who disbelieved from among the People of the Book and the polytheists will be in the fire of Jahannam , in which they will be living forever. Those are the worst of all human beings.
Why would Muslim men be allowed to marry the worst of creatures? Wouldn't having a mother that's destined to hell make it hard for their kids to have faith? Is it fitting for a Muslim family to have in it the "worst of creatures"? I'm not sure if I'm being misinformed or not here
