Assalamu alaykum,

I'm new to Islam (Only reverted a month ago) and I'm now starting to see why the deen tells us to differentiate ourselves from the mushriks. I stopped wearing jewelry and started growing out my beard (im only 16 and im already capable of rocking a full beard) and people started to notice. One guy even asked me if my beard was a hormonal disorder or something, when it's genetic. As a Muslim, I see now the importance. Your whole identity and appearance changes with Islam (as for my experience as a revert) because it's not only a religion, but a way of life. With these little things I can take pride of my faith in a world (especially the West) when it's sometimes hard to live your life without being ostracized for your own religious beliefs.

What do you guys think? May Allah SWT bless you all.
