Salaam everybody, I hope you are all having a blessed day, my brothers and sisters.
I took out a student loan of £4750 a year ago when I wasn't following Islam at the time. I accepted Islam in April but this thing has been lingering in the back of my mind for quite some time now and I don't know if I am sinful for taking it out and laying it back with interest even though I took it out when I was misguided. Can someone tell me what to do? Obviously I have to pay it back but I'm afraid I am sinful for paying interest on it and I only have myself to blame for it.
