Hey!Like the title says, I really struggle to believe in Islam, because there seem to be so many inconsistencies or contradictions.

The two things that probably bother me the most are the following; The Quran says that the previous prophets have been legit. But if they have been legit, why did they say and do things that are prohibited in the Quran? Like Jesus talking with a prostitute, being alone with her and even touching her. Also Jesus baptizing someone and drinking wine when you don't do that in Islam. The fact that Jerusalem had a big Synagogue build in the middle of it on the Temple Mount and it being described as holy, when later on in the Quran other places are described as holy. I mean Jerusalem isn't even really mentioned by name in the Quran. Also just the massive amount of stuff that Mohammed (swt) and the Quran started to call as Haram/a sin when these things haven't been that before. Like, did all the prophets before just forget to mention it? Is there any reason provided for these changes?

The second thing is how Allahs mercy is a pretty prominent theme in the Quran and also how he always knows what's in someones heart/their intentions are. If Allahs does know what's in someones heart why would he still 'test' someone? If they succeed in the Test, even tho they didn't act genuine and just wanted to pass, he would know. And if they fail even tho they tried all they could have done he'd also know. And he'd also just know in advance what is in someones heart...So why the need to them? Just seems kinda unnecessary, especially when someone gets punished for failing.

And on this topic; Why would Allah create some humans in a way that he described as sinful. For example creating gay people but then saying that they will burn in hell if they ever want a loving relationship in their life...

Next to these things I have some more questions, but they regard religion in general I guess. If its important to follow the law of god, why did message not get spread to every human in this world? There are still tribes that are uncontacted and they are running around naked, like women without shirts and making music and drawing humans with faces and everything. They probably also have several gods they are praying to. Like why does this mean they're constantly sinning? Also in this vein is the question of why god only showed himself like 4000 years ago and let everyone live sin before that? And even when God showed himself, he only considered the Israelites/Jews as his people until 2000years ago. Why is that? Or is the Thora not considered true in Islam, even tho the prophets saying so are? That seems really weird. It is also kinda mean to expect people to believe all these prophets before and the respective religions and then suddenly say 'This is the new religion and book, stop believing the old one. Its the same god but a completely new holy book. If you continue believe in the old religion, you'll burn in hell.'
Why it was ok for Mohammed (swt) to marry and fornicate with a 9 year old seems also kinda weird to me. You could say it was just the times, but it is clearly stated that we should follow his ways. Kinda resulting in the message that it is ok for a grown men to have sex with a 9-10 year old girl... Why would gods messenger do this?

Other stuff is the typical 'Why would god allow so much suffering?' like why give babies cancer? Why allow torture? Why are so many muslims countries suffering and abused? How do we even know that there's a god? And if its because everything needs a creator, doesn't this mean that god also needs a creator?

Im really coming from a genuine place, because I'd actually like to believe. I mean even from a logical stand point believing in God is better than not. Because if the Quran is true and I do believe in it, I'll get rewarded in my afterlife. And if its true and I dont believe in it ill get punished. If it wouldn't be true and I believe in it nothing would happen and the same if it wasn't true and I wouldn't believe in it...

So yea thanks for answering if you are.
