Assalamulaikum brothers and sisters of Reddit. I’m here today to seek some advice from you. Ok, I live in Sénégal, and here people are still rooted in their tradition. And because of that, some still perform rituals such as sacrificing goats and other animals to jinns. One of these people is my mom. After my grandma passed she was in charge of those things. That’s one thing but she also doesn’t pray unless there’s something she needs like recently I had an exam and she was praying all five prayers even Fajr. My brothers and I know this is bad and one them has tried to to talk to her but she still hasn’t changed. So my question is how do I get her to realize her wrongdoing? It is important to note that those rituals have an important place in our societies and there are beliefs that if you abandon the jinns will sort of get revenge by cursing your offspring or killing in car accidents your relatives.
