Hello.

I've been watching some summarized history videos and got curious about why the Islamic golden age didn't persist or at least didn't sprout up again in later centuries. In the middle ages, the Umayyad Caliphate managed to foster a golden age which rocketed the Islamic world in several areas, especially math and science. Then you have the golden age fostered by the Ottomans. But after WWI you don't see any golden ages which have spread across most of the Islamic world.

If you have an answer as to why, I'd love to hear it. Thanks.
