There were so many non muslims in the prophet's era who didn't convert to Islam even after seeing the prophet physically and interacting with him and listening to his teachings first hand... [Continued]

so why would any non muslim convert to Islam now in the modern age where there are so many kinds of muslims spreading so many versions of Islam (for example many think Osama bin laden is what Islam is or that being a Muslim means you agree with terrorists or that it means that you're against LGBT (which is kinda true)).

So I was wondering why people didn't convert to Islam even after seeing Muhammad in the flesh. If people could stay non muslims after living with the prophet himself then what chance do modern muslims have of convincing a non muslim to convert?
