Same for the Jewish method of slaughtering I guess. I've been taught my whole life that halal slaughter would cause the animal less pain, but I'm reading elsewhere that it is less humane than stunning an animal before killing it. Wouldn't immediately decapitating or knocking out it out before slaughter be less painful for the animal, compared to if it suffocated before it died by cutting the windpipe and neck veins? I am ignorant on the topic in general, so I'd like to know the official answer on it.
