I'm currently exploring Islam (my friend introduced me), and I'm praying to Allah for some things and to speak to me. If I commit sin or Haram before then, will it interfere with my prayer?

I'm not a muslim yet and there are some things I do that I find moral but are sins in Islam including watching some videos. Will this prevent Allah from answering my dua?
