I’ve never lived in a flat before. Sound travels between floors very easily, and while I’m not specifically aware of any Muslim residents, I figured it would be good to take this into consideration, as to avoid breaking anyone’s fast.

My questions: 1) Can I sing out loud (a capella)? 2) Can I play recorded music (from Spotify, etc.) out loud, at a respectable volume (ie not loud, even though some sound may inevitably be heard in adjoining flats)? 3) Can I play musical instruments (again at a respectable volume)?

I’ve heard several different views on this over the years, but I don’t have much knowledge myself, so I thought I’d ask here.
