Hello I was told by another Muslim that Circumcision is haram? Is this true? And if not where in the Hadiths or Quran or Sunnah does it say that men should be circumcised?

I was speaking to a Muslim recently and they told me that circumcision is haram and goes against what Allahs says about us not altering our bodies. I tried to tell him that in the Sunnah it says that men should be circumcised but he then asked me to prove that what it says in the Sunnah is true.
