Assalāmu `alaykum,
As you may know, most of us live in societies where you're expected to work many hours just to have a roof over your head; in fact, housing is probably usually by far the biggest regular living expense for most people. So if you want to try to live a life where you're not forced to work so much and hence have more time for your personal life, worship, etc, wouldn't it make sense to try to drastically reduce your housing costs?
Well, that's where the lifestyle popularly known as 'vanlife' comes in, and that's a self-explanatory name; you live in a van that's suitable for living, with no massive rent/mortgage payments, bills, etc. At least where I live (the UK), the startup costs (just the van and living materials) for this could be under £5000, even in London (I mean, this doesn't seem to be a lifestyle affected by location) compared to an average purchase price of several hundred thousand pounds for a house in the same city. After that, fuel, insurance, etc should be a fraction of rent/mortgage costs.
Some issues you may think of are where to shower and use the toilet, the answer; get a gym membership (~£20 per month); what if you want to get married; of course, make this clear when you start looking for a spouse, if you're having trouble, it's your choice to make between this lifestyle and being married. Other issues and their possible solutions can probably be found if you search online. How do you make money; try to look for freelance, such as UberEats, and/or part-time work
Lastly, why is this especially possibly a good idea for Muslims; well, the western capitalist work system makes some aspects of Muslim life hard, such as praying on time, in congregation, and giving much time to your family. This vanlife lifestyle takes away the main reason for working so much, which is affording massive rent/mortgage payments.
Just something to think about
