Hello! I'm an artist from California (just posted a couple things after realizing I haven't posted almost any of my art on reddit lol) and as a part of series of images looking at humans in conflict, I'm doing a piece to show love and solidarity for Palestine. Part of this painting uses the beautiful floral mosaics found on the walls of the Holy Al Aqsa Mosque. My Question is this: I wish to use the colors of the Palestinian flag to fill in the Al Aqsa Mosque floral patterns in my painting, to evoke the identity of Palestine as a nation (the true border, from the river to the sea, is also a prominent part of the painting for similar reasons) but if this would be wrong for some reason that I'm ignorant of, I'd like to know so I can think of something different for that part of the image.
TLDR; is it okay to paint a picture featuring the floral patterns from the walls of Al Aqsa Mosque, but with Palestinian flag colors?
