I’d like to know about the hijab, the niqab, and the burka. I know there are other forms of dress as well, and feel free to describe those if you wish, but these three are the common ones most non-Muslims hear about.
I understand that headscarves such as these are used for the purpose of modesty in public, and also a symbol of faith, but my question revolves around circumstance. How does a Muslim woman decide which to wear under which circumstance? Are there specific scenarios where one form of headscarf is deemed more appropriate than another?
