how to handle hair body in Islam.

disclaimer: if there was a surgery like a jaw surgery or brain surgery or skin diseases or cuttings and stitches or any necessity you are allowed to shave/pluck that hair.

some definitions: (you can skip them if you know them)

halal: allowed and no bad/good deeds.

haram: forbidden and you gain bad deeds if you do it.

makrooh: hated but you get no bad deeds if you do it.

mustahab: loved and it's generally the better alternative.

sunnah: you get good deeds if you do it but no bad deeds if you don't.

fardh: it's obligatory.

there are two areas haram to shave/pluck for the men and women.

for the men it's haram to shave their beards and haram to pluck/shave their eyebrows. your beard is haram to be shaved according to the majority of scholars unless there was a reason like a hard to find job, or restaurant and kitchen work. etc. but if there was alternatives it is best.

and it's makrooh shave a part of your hair and leave the rest. you either shave it all or shorten it. but to shave 1/2/3/etc sides and leave the rest like these examples([1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]) is haram for men. these examples and the ones that look like it are halal([1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]) for men.

it is makrooh to keep your hair tied during prayer. but your prayer is still correct if you keep it on. (this is only for the men. the tie part) (here's the source. it's a fun read)

I used to shave my head something like picture [2] of the haram. once I knew the ruling I stopped around a year ago.

for the women it's haram to shave their head's hair (not cutting or shortening. shaving) and plucking/shaving their eyebrows like the men.

there are two areas that are fardh to shave for both men and women. the armpits and the private parts should be shaved at least every forty days. if 40 days pass with no shaving your prayers are not accepted. it is also sunnah to shave every Friday. but you can't postpone it for more than 40 days.

it's also an obligation for men to shorten or shave their mustaches.

now for the rest of the body hair for men and women it was not specified. meaning that it is halal to shave them (chest, legs, back, etc). but if a man does it with the intention to look like a woman it's haram.

and that's basically the gist of it. Allah has given the man a beard and gave the woman her hair. they should always wash, comb and take care of them and to always look and smell good.

P.S. that's a test post I wrote to show you the layout of my future posts regarding casual subjects. please tell me how to add to it/make it better.
