Most African Americans where from West Africa, which is Muslim. So quite a lot of those who were taken from their homes where Muslim and ended up in America as slaves. A lot of African Americans aren't Muslims though. Many forced to convert or did so freely. I'm just wondering if there are any African American Muslims who are descended from those slaves not those who later migrated over.
