For those of you who wonder "why older people must not dye their hair black ?", maybe we can explain this prohibition through science ??

Narrated ‘Abdullāh Ibn Abbās from the Messenger of Allah (sws): “At the end of time there will be people who will use this black dye like the flocks of crows who will not experience the fragrance of Paradise.” ¹

Ibn Jābir Ibn Abdullah says “Abī Qahāfah was brought on the day of the conquest of Makkah, and his head and beard were white like the al-thaghāmah (a plant with white fruit). The Messenger of Allah (sws) said: ‘Change this (colour) to something else, and avoid black.” ²

So, according to the above hadiths, older people can dye their hair with colors other than black (i.e. reddish, blonde, brown, etc).
But why does this prohibition exist ?? What's the hikmah ??

1. Absorption of heat by black color
   According to science, black color is the best when it comes to absorbing light. Therefore, as the consequence, black color absorbs the most heat compared to other colors (i.e. blonde, red, browns, etc). Therefore, if older people dye their hair black instead of the other colors, their black hair dye color will absorb more heat compared to the other hair dye colors, and also don't forget that black hair dye color is much more darker than the natural black hair color, which means that black hair dye color will absorb much more heat than natural black hair color.
   So, why does this even matter ? Let's move on to the next point...

2. Possibility of getting heat stress
   Because black hair dye color absorbs more heat, therefore, the temperature of the scalp region will be hotter if you have black hair dye color compared to other hair dye colors. Hypothetically, it's possible that this will cause heat stress, which could further complicates into heat stroke.
   According to ³, older people (50+ years old) are more prone to heat stress / heat stroke. Therefore, also hypothetically, if older people use non-black hair dye colors, it will minimize the chance of getting heat-related illness in their old age.

These are just my thoughts regarding the above two hadiths, it would be nice if there are researchers who are interested to conduct researches regarding this topic.
