Hello There brothers, I have an urgent matter that I need ask about, I have been living alone for almost a year now, and sadly I am forced to live alone at the time being. I bought a dog when I moved out because I was very lonely in the house alone, but now I am wondering if it is haram, I really need him and it is not to show off, and I have a room for prayer that the dog doesn't enter.
Do you think this is still haram if the dog provides mental support and that my mental health is better with him?
