I remember in the past being moved by verses with the following concept (if memory serves):

  • when times are bad, people will turn to Allah in prayer and he will provide them ease
  • when times are good people will become complacent, and forget Allah and their prayers
  • when times are bad again, people will turn to Allah again, and he will provide ease again
  • Allah knows that this is human nature and he is the most forgiving and merciful

Does anyone know which Surah/Verses this was?
