The following video is an account of the Battle of the Chains and the Battle of the River. These are the first two dramatic battles against the Persians and show the strategic and military genius of Khalid ibn al Walid as well as the courage of the early Muslims.
With only 18,000 soldier volunteers equipped with light armor and weapons they marched on the most powerful empire in the world.
