I know I shouldn't be touching the opposite gender. However I'm wondering whether I can sit beside or around them as long as I'm not touching them.
Say for example a woman sits next to me on the bus, or on a public bench etc. Is this fine or is there supposed to be a minimum distance you should maintain?
EDIT: Related question I just thought of. If someone is Gay, as in they struggle with homosexual thoughts is it impermissible for him or her to mix with their own gender along with the opposite gender? How does it work?
