I have a devout muslim co-worker who's wife has had a premature baby. Our team would like to give a gift to congratulate and let him know we are thinking positive thoughts for him and his family in this happy but difficult time with several weeks ahead at the hospital.
Would a typical gift basket of various food goodies - obviously halal - to snack on with a message of our congratulations and support be appropriate?
