Satan didn't do shirk, just displayed hus arrogance without repentance,so he will enter jahanam and stay for a period but as Allah says:remove anyone who EVER SAID THERE'S NO GOD BUT ALLAH. So he fills that criteria also he worship a lot before this, so he would rewarded to as Allah isn't unjust.
If he is to abide eternally, then people who commit grave sins knowingly while being Muslim should too
Maybe i think as he misled a lot of people, he has his part in their shirk, and it's same for him.
