One criticism I've heard of Muslims who hold my stance (that a Muslim should NOT participate in non-Muslim (democracy) politics) is that Muslims are going to be seen as enemies of the U.S., because they are excluding themselves from something that every American "should" take part of. But by supporting the democratic party, even though the current situation allows you to practice your religion, what exactly are you going to do when they try to implement laws that restrict your religion? When they try to ban circumcision, halal meat, when they go inside your schools and tell your children that LGBT is completely okay and normal? Are you going to force your brothers who cannot afford private schooling, and who might not even have the time to teach their children these things, to expose their children to this? What about when some verses of the Qu' ran, or some hadiths, are considered "problematic" according to their hivemind thinking? Will you go against your party? What about abortion (inb4 it's halal(99% of abortions are not halal)). What about the legalization of drugs that your religion completely forbids?
If your counter argument here is that just because the current democrats are not voting for these things, they wont happen, then the same argument can be made for the big bad republicans who are trying to take away your rights to practice your religion. Aside from targeting immigration in Muslim countries, I haven't heard anything from the republicans in terms of destroying Muslims rights in the U.S.
The democrats do not kill Muslims any less than republicans. Democrats do not hate Muslims any less than republicans (unless those Muslims completely give up their religion.) If you're using the argument that "the democrats are the lesser evil," and you believe we have to vote because it's our "duty to vote," to not seem unAmerican and like an enemy, wouldn't you say your own party will end up hating you? That's like having a friend who is only your friend because there is some benefit from him being your friend. That's how Muslims would be looked at by the democrat party. That's completely deceptive, anyone would look at you and say f off. If you make it clear and not act like your someones friend, the least they will do is respect you.
The democrats do not hate you any less than republicans hate you. As a matter of fact, considering most republicans are people of the book, they have much more similarities and may actually understand some of Muslims stances as opposed to the democrats which are the people of Lut, the people of intoxicants, the people of jahannam.
Why would you put yourself in a position to support everything Islam is 100% completely against, when your vote is doing NOTHING for Islam in the U.S. Nothing has been done to benefit Muslims by voting democrat (voting for any political party but it seems that Muslims especially on here tend to be democrats) so essentially you have not helped Muslims at all, but you have supported things that are completely against Islam. What will you tell Allah on the day of judgement?
