Assalamualaikum. I've posted in /r/MuslimLounge, but I'd like to share it here too. I'm a Muslim with a mental illness, but I haven't seen many people that are alike within the Muslim community, and I'd really like to know. If you are one, please feel free to let both of us and others know that we are not alone.
I have Schizoid Personality Disorder(SPD), which is a condition that severely limits my ability in feeling intimacy, expressing emotion and pleasure; lacking motivation in life, acute asocial tendencies, and aloofness. I can't say that I'm currently living a happy or even a moderate life, but I'm doing my best to prepare for a better, eternal life in the next. I pray(very desperately) that we will all have a better chance in the afterlife. Inshallah.
