Sounds like a silly thing to get excited about but I’m happy about it, especially as I live in a country which doesn’t have a huge amount of Muslims. My halal meat options were mostly limited to expensive imports from NZ and whilst this was nice it also meant I could really only afford to buy tiny amounts.
However I was in my local supermarket when purely by chance I spotted a halal logo. I had a look and there were a load of different halal certified frozen meat products. Best thing was, they were much cheaper than what I’d been paying as they were produced locally and certified by an Islamic body in my city.
Now I can make all my favourite foods!
