I have made a pledge not to spread any negative news, and to attempt to write something positive once a day at least until Allah saves us of this pandemic. If you know how powerful are your good words, you will strive to promote hope.
Just think of all the people out there who are alone and need some support. They crave for some hope out of this darkness.
Just imagine the positive impact and accompanying boost that opens for them when they hear some glad tidings.
In the darkest times of the prophet life, Allah ordered him to spread the good news to the beleivers: And [you will obtain] another [favor] that you love – victory from Allah and an imminent conquest; and give good tidings to the believers (61:13)
The messenger (peace be upon him) said: Make things easy and do not make them difficult, cheer the people up by conveying glad tidings to them and do not repulse (them). [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
In addition, the messenger said in another authentic hadeeth that is extremely relevant to our current situation: There is no infection and no evil omen, and I like a good omen. Good omen means a good word
The hadeeth means that infection are not systematic in any body or creature. They happened for reasons. Yet, even when someone got infected or ill, s/he must not throw this on bad luck, but s/he must seek treatment and aspire the good omen.
We must protect ourselves from this virus and any other pandemic. Yet, we shall know also that if something happened, this is not the end of the world. We shall cure ourselves and never despair.
Finally, Hope is documented in scientific literature to be a great tool for advanced care planning.
Let us all spread the good vibes. Let us strive to tell others how much they mean to us and how important for all of us to cleanse our hearts and minds.
If you care, share this or any other piece of good tiding.
