How does Islam approach this line of thinking where everything happens because of your previous actions. E.g Poverty is punishment, success is divine reward etc.
My understanding is that everything happens because of the will of Allah, as he pleases and is unaffected by our logic.
This line of 'Just World' thinking is in line with the Hindu concept of Karma.
I've heard of people believing this and justifying wars, calamities and suffering on people.
Are these ways of thinking rooted in the Quran and Sunnah?
