Selam aleykum,
I am currently working on my master thesis and I am writing about women in Islam and how Islam in itself gives women so many rights but through patriarchal practices many don't have what the Quran guarantees them. Now I was wondering if any women here have experience with the said topic? Do you feel like the culture you are in interferes with the teachings of the Quran? Those who live in a different country than their parents did, do you feel like culture is especially important to them/you to not lose ones heritage even if it means going against the laws for women in Islam? I would love to hear your insight on this topic, you can also dm me if you don't want to share your thoughts here publicly
