I am going over my supplications and I watched this lecture about the most powerful duas you can make and this lecturer said the most powerful one you make is asking Allah for forgiveness.
All else will come together through the grace and mercy of Allah inshallah. He brought up the point of seeking sincere forgiveness.
After watching this lecture I began to think about my relationship with Allah and my worship. It made me ask myself if I am being sincere in my worship and seeking forgiveness from Allah.
As you can just say and make dua for forgiveness but it becomes a habit that you do. I make dua and seek forgiveness after praying. I'm trying to be more conscious of myself in terms of my spiritualilty in relation to my behavior and Allah.
So this lecture made me question myself and I have some questions:
How do you know if you are being sincere or genuine? Are there signs for it?What is genuine worship? How do you know you are being sincere when asking Allah for forgiveness?
In addition, what some of your thoughts were on this matter or if anyone has good resources for supplications or duas.
Thanks in advance!
