I live in france , and grew up in poor suburbs filled with arab/muslim immigrants , we were bonded together and grew up with each other , but most of them now are smoking weed , having girlfriends
, fornicating before getting married , and when i try to understand why they're doing this , i get the feeling that most of them just don't care about islam , i'm not saying that they're going to burn in hell for their sins because that's of my business in the first place and i'm not saying anything about it because it's between them and allah and i have nothing to do in all of this , but it just feels like i'm...out of place , like i'm not in pair with my generation , i'm not saying this as in I NEED to fornicate etc... but close relative talk about it like it was something normal to do , and most of the muslims of my age just don't care about what the Quran says or maybe they do , but just can't help the fact that they need to fullfill their sexual needs , and i just feel like i should do the same thing , just doing whatever i want while i'm young , not because i need to prove my self , and then going into the right path when i'll decide when ti's over...i used to pray everyday for 2 years , 2 years ago , but i just stopped , for whatever reason. I know that i shouldn't do that , and i'm not going to anyways , but i just don't want to finish my life alone , back in the days of prophet Mohammed (SAWS) , people got married because their parents knew eachother and decided that they were going to end up together , but this has long since passed. So i wonder if maybe having a girlfriend to get to know her etc....before marrying here , wouldn't actually be a sin ? Anyway i digress , thanks a lot for reading.
