Hello, so I'm not Islamic in any way, I'm a Welsh atheist who's only religious history was Protestantism as a child. I also have no interest in or conpulsion to join your religion. I also apologise in advance if the question I'm about to ask is somehow taboo politically or whatever.

I'm interested in knowing the nuances of the three forms of Islam in the title. I think Ibadi, which I know is the less popular one in Oman, is part of or affiliated with some other groups, but I'm not sure. I know that most of Islam is Sunni, while Iran and perhaps Iraq are Shia. But why they're different, I don't really know. I could look that up, but what I really want to know about is the different cultural aspects of each, how each sees the others, how serious the gaps are and if a Shia muslim thinks that a Sunni muslim will go to Heaven.
