Question regarding a wooden carving received as a gift.

As salaamalaikum brothers and sisters,

As the title states I was gifted a rectangular wooden carving with two peacocks carved into it. This was a gift from my boss and everyone in the office received one. Is it okay to hang it somewhere in my home? Or as animals are carved into I should just store it somewhere?
