Anyone of you who has ever been to Haramain would have experienced what I also did, that is, the language barrier at the global muslim congregation. It is frustrating to be honest, to have officials present there reply only as "Yalla Hajji, Tareek". They don't properly speak any other language other than Arabic at such an important multi-lingual, multi-cultural place.

Before others shoot me down saying, "learn arabic". I need to point you towards one important fact that majority of Muslims that go on pilgrimage can't speak the language and belong to different social and literal classes where it is not possible for them. Coming from poor sub-continent, this pilgrimage is the only time they would ever be at that place in their entire lifetime.

People save pennies all their lives in the sub-continent for the pilgrimage. And, it is really painful to watch them lost in translation in front of the volunteers and officials. Recently, they have volunteers who can speak couple of languages but inside the Masjid, it is just the officials who can't communicate properly with the pilgrims.
