Last night I was bored looking through this sub and I found this post (https://www.reddit.com/r/islam/comments/c10qpi/til_in_the_bible_noah_was_an_alcoholic_david_was/) which argued against the Jewish/Christian old testament prophets. The argument seems to be why would God give prophets to Israel who were sinners like Noah's drunkenness or Solomon's eventual idolatry.

My question is why should I follow the Islamic view of the old testament prophets? Both Christians and Jews are agreed on the books of the old testament (although Christians divide up the books differently). Why should I follow a different view which goes against the original writings, the agreement of both Abrahamic religions and comes 1000 years after much of the writing of the Jewish Tanakh in a different area of the middle east?
