A few questions in good faith, no political bullshit here I promise. I've noticed many Muslims say the Islamic faith is the true uncorrupted form of monotheism. How does a Muslims reconcile this knowing that?

  1. The Dead sea scrolls pretty much line up with the Tanakh "Jewish Bible" and are much older than any Islamic text found on planet Earth. They conflict heavily with the Koran. Obviously they were source material for the Koran.

Tolkien wrote Lord of the Rings. Game of thrones came years later, obviously GOT was influenced by Tolkien.

  1. Islamic practices such as the Hajj are pagan in origin and even in Sahih Bukari 5:59:661 the author freely admits that pagan Arabs used to worship stones. And of course the Kaaba has a stone.

  2. Sahih Bukari 1:8:365 Pagans would worship at the Kaaba until they were banned further cementing the fact that this element of worship was taken from Arab pagans.

  3. Mecca was in effect a no-go zone for violence during its pagan rule and the tradition was carried on to Islam.

  4. The fact that a second Kaaba was destroyed in Yemen "Dhul Khalasa" further cements the fact that Mohammed chose Mecca for political reasons.

  5. Hagar was never Abraham's wife, she was his concubine.

In summation it seems that Islam was essentially founded as a politicized mash up of Jewish and Christian texts. I'm open for a nice discussion. The decision to face Mecca during prayer instead of Jerusalem also seems political since prayer originally mirrored what Jews did.
