As far as I know, if you rape someone you are applied the Hadd punishment (100 lashes if you are unmarried, stoned to death if you are married), and this is the same for fornication/adultery.
The only difference between the two is that the victim is obviously not punished. So why are the two treated the same in terms of punishment for the perpetrator, when rape is obviously a much more horrific and terrible crime?
