Giving charity is a big part of Islam, however, I feel as if giving zakat in my local mosque is just too easy and my reward isn’t that much

It’s just too easy. I go to Friday prayer every Friday and I donate some amount of money. I don’t know where it goes, i just know it will help people in need.

It’s just too easy and convenient. I feel as if I should put more effort into doing what pleases Allah.

And I also favor this method because a lot of the homes less people in my area are drug addicted, and do not spend the money wisely.

I just feel guilty for not putting more effort into things like this. I have fell back into my addiction and I want to really try and gain a lot of good deeds. Thank you
