Assalamu `alaykum wa rahmatulLahi wa barakatuh everyone,
First of all, English is not my native language so I hope I will be able to explain what I mean .. this question has been bugging me for a while now, and I've talked with my uncle about it a few times and the way I understood it, the Dajjal will not be a person whom Prophet Isa (pbuh) will "fight and kill" literally, instead the Dajjal is a problem that needs to be taken care of, and Isa (pbuh) will be the one to help fight this problem. But what could it be?
The Dajjal is described like this:
- would travel the whole world entering every city except Mecca and Medina (so its a problem that will spread in the entire world?)
- Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) called Dajjal Al-Awar, “one with blind one eye” — in detail, he said that Dajjal’s right eye would be like a floating grape, shaking, not fixed in one position (metaphorically meaning that the Dajjal is a problem of this Dunya only, hence the blind eye, it doesnt concern the Hereafter?)
- he would have the word ‘Kafir’ written between his eyebrows on his forehead. The believers of Allah and Islam would clearly be able to see that word, even if others cannot (meaning that it will be very obvious to realize that he/it is bad)
- have a prominent forehead and a wide neck. Short in height, but he would be very powerful, even with a hunch in his back. He would walk with his feet apart, not like normal men. Dajjal would have long and curly hair, so thick that his locks would look like snakes hanging from his head, lots of them, coiled together. (what could this mean metaphorically?)
.. and a few more descriptions, the point is, the Dajjal is described very much in detail, to the point where every muslim would be aware of him if he really appeared, so how would he be able to deceive us if we already know how he's going to look like and of what he will be capable to do? This is what makes me think that the Dajjal will not be human, but a "problem" that we will need to fight, or am I just completely wrong?
